The bearing behind the official Guinness World Speed Record!

Building on its patent-pending design that has taken the bearing category (and the speed record books) by storm, Seismic now introduces a 6-Ball version of the Tekton – constructed with fewer, larger, stronger balls than ordinary 608Z bearings. This means less total ball-raceway surface contact, less friction, quicker acceleration, higher speed, and longer life.

  • Omen MiniSugar Review

Posted on April 24, 2013 by adrenalina

As many of you may know we recently begun carrying Omen Longboards. The good people at Omen were gracious enough to include a  demo of their new MiniSugar with our order. So like any responsible adults would do, we immediately stopped what we were doing to build it up and skate it. It was built up using Buck 180 trucks and some O-Tang 80a Moranga that are close to being done.

Throwing it down it looks a little small but once you hop it on your feet feel totally locked on this 33" directional board. It has a nice little micro drop on the nose, another one at the rear trucks and nice functional kick tail. Obviously since it had a kicktail, the first thing we tried to do was ollie the board. Given the size of the board it makes ollieing it a breeze. After that it was off to the streets behind the shop. It was a little intimidating at first since everyone was used to riding a longer board with a bit more wheelbase. But, let me tell you, this board feels amazing under your feet. It locks you in and makes throwing front and backside standies easy. After a few runs it time to play around and try a few different flip/grab tricks; no complies, boneless, kickflips and every other trick you think about trying when you get a board with a nice kicktail under your feet. The grooves on the bottom make it a little awkward for your fingers to grip the board but other than that this board feels great. Over all everyone had a blast on this board and can't wait to get out to skate it again. Definitely a must have for anyone who is looking for a smaller freeride / city cruiser / or all around fun board.
